Somatic Alchemy & Capacity Building

Somatic Capacity building sessions are designed to help individuals increase body awareness and self-regulation.

Somatic Alchemy blends somatic (body-based) practices with transformational or “alchemical” inner work. This term isn’t tied to one standardized modality; instead it’s used to describe how these sessions help clients move emotional, psychological, or energetic patterns through the body to create personal transformation. I have been trained to guide the experience in a slow titrated way, ensuring the experience remains manageable and grounded.

Rather than diving directly into traumatic events and emotionally charged topics, I will first guide my client in developing interoceptive awareness (the capacity to notice and track internal bodily sensations like tension, warmth, tightness, breath patterns). This forms the foundation for self-regulation, allowing the client to identify early signs of dysregulation and develop strategies to return to a more balanced state.

After establishing this foundation, we will introduce emotionally charged memories or themes and pendulate the focus (move gently between difficult sensations and areas of safety or neutrality in the body), helping the nervous system process stuck survival energy while letting the body know it is safe in the present moment. Through this process, clients gradually renegotiate the memory, not by forcing or analyzing it away, but by being curious, noticing how it affects the body and supporting the body’s natural capacity to discharge stress and integrate the experience.

These sessions are marked by:

  • Mindful tracking of sensations (“What do you notice in your body right now?”)
  • Building internal resources (positive memories, grounding tools and techniques)
  • Slow, titrated revisiting of emotional material to avoid overwhelm
  • Use of movement, breath, or touch to support release and regulation
  • Increased capacity for presence, self control and emotional resilience

Ultimately, clients learn how to befriend their body, regulate their emotions, and experience a greater sense of safety, vitality, and autonomy, even when facing previously overwhelming memories or themes.

Intro to Somatics: 4-Session Foundational Series
To support deep and sustainable transformation, I offer an Intro to Somatics as a required starting point for all new clients. This consists of 4 sessions over the course of one month, providing the essential groundwork for developing somatic literacy (the ability to sense, interpret, and work with the body’s intelligence.)

This foundational series allows us to build trust, establish a shared language, and equip you with key tools for embodiment. After completing the 4-session series, you’re welcome to book single sessions as needed.
